Business Software Course

This course introduces computer software commonly used in business today. Training includes using software to create reports, organize data, and perform accounting tasks. Advanced classes focus on spreadsheet software and database management for tracking inventory, managing payrolls, and providing critical data to business marketing departments.

Word Processing Course

Students learn basic and advanced word processing skills such as spell checking, formatting text, and differing file types. Individuals learn to prepare business documents; including reports, letters, and forms. Advanced training may include an introduction to desktop publishing.

Desktop Publishing Course

Participants examine the use of computer hardware and software to create print publications such as newsletters, marketing materials, business reports, forms, and financial documents. Students learn how to create, edit, build and customize information for databases. The use of management information systems is discussed, as well as records management skills such as coding, filing and cross-referencing.

Spreadsheet and Database Management Course

This course covers the use of spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel, in everyday business situations. Students learn to create charts that make sense of raw data and present it in an understandable format. Programs teach the use of formulas and functions to tabulate data for real-time analysis.
